WP widget not showing excerpt

Hello there!

I am a non developer just know some html and css. Just installed started a wp website with a premium theme and I am trying to show recent post on home page. My premium theme uses Visual composure, so all website was build drag an drop elements. Now I'm using recent posts widget on home page but this widget does not show excerpt, i also tried using different plugins but while using visual composure i can't find any other plugin inside VC. As forum does not allow the link so i can't show website link in her. Can someone help what exactly i need to do to show recent posts with excerpt..
