I’m hoping someone can advise me whether something is even possible.

I’m in the process of creating a new website for a local educational charity in which there are approximately 50 different interest groups. The organisers of each group are looking for a way to post updates about their activities onto their specific pages on the website.

Obviously this can all be done through the site administrator, however I’m wondering whether there’s any way in which individual group organisers can have password-protected access to modify just their own page, or at least have the facility to add or delete text from part of it.

Is this feasible, or will all updates have to be carried out by the site administrator? Any advice would be most welcome – perhaps I should add I’m fairly new to WordPress.

User controlled modification of web pages.
