What @sterndata said is wise. We don’t ever recommend using two plugins to touch the same functionality. For example, you wouldn’t want to enable our two factor authentication at the same time you enabled another plugin’s. What is likely to happen in case of problems is that whoever you seek support from will ask you disable the other plugin to test, just as we would, so if you have to run multiple plugins make that your first troubleshooting test to see if it is just a conflict.

If you want to install a second security plugin just because you want to be more secure, a better route would be to educate yourself about security. Wordfence built a free security learning center where you can learn about things including things like “How to Harden Your WordPress Site From Attacks“, “How to Choose a WordPress Hosting Service“, and “Has my site been hacked? How to Check“. It’s all in an easy to read format and has information for beginners and advanced users. Education yourself and being proactive are things that can put you in a better position to avoid being compromised in the first place.

As always, if you have any questions, our support forum on WordPress.org have paid staff who are available for any questions you might have.
