    Short answer and workaround:
    Copy the offending text and search for nbsp and replace them with normal spaces. WordPress is heavy handed with nbsp for some unknown reason, especially when it comes to Hebrew text.

    I figured out what is going on! Why the text breaks up in the wrong way and why it splits the words. What seems to happen is that WordPress is adding nbsp in the HTML that do not appear in the visual/text views of the text editor. When they are present, the words will be split if they are the last in their line.

    Hope this helps other people. Did not find a surefire way to remove them…
