Well, it still looks like the SSL certificate’s chain is incomplete, which means some software (like iTunes) won’t be able to authenticate it.

Personal Opinion: Despite most software (browsers and such) accepting incomplete chains, I don’t feel that’s a good practice. SSL certificates exist for two things: encrypted communication, and proof of the identity of the site you’re communicating with. Without a complete chain, that proof is compromised, and that’s why some software is refusing it. If you’re going to get an SSL certificate, it should be a valid certificate with a complete chain and an A or A+ grade. Even the *free* SSL certificates from https://letsencrypt.org/ provide this, so there’s no excuse for someone like Thawte or your hosting provider not to.

So, I recommend getting in touch with Thawte and your hosting provider again. If that fails, maybe move to a hosting provider that offers free valid SSL certificates like the ones at https://wordpress.org/hosting/ or get in touch with iTunes support.
