    Unfortunately, your theme uses !important in places.

    To set the color of that text, you need to do the same.

    body.kc-css-system .front p {

    color: #000 !important;
    }

    To add CSS: use the “Additional CSS” option in the customizer.

    Learn to use the Chrome Developer Tools to help you see and test changes to your CSS.
