Which theme are you using? Does it support featured images?

I added this code to the functions.php file (via a site-specific plugin):

You shouldn’t edit theme files directly, btw. A child theme is the place for these additions.

Have you tried temporarily disabling all your plugins to rule out a plugin related issue?

I haven’t used RSS for years, but your feed shows up in SeaMonkey on Ubuntu just fine. Some images are showing up larger, but that may be because you chose a different image size as the featured image for that post. For example, this:

    https://www.vickywood.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/wordpress-glossary-e1512572462128.png

which is a small image, versus this:

    https://www.vickywood.com/wp-content/uploads/comments-in-wordpress.png

which is a large image. And is also not in a regular upload folder. How did you get it in the uploads folder without also having it in a year and month folder?
