    those silly validators.

    I stopped using them years ago because they’re impossible to use with modern web – especially when using open-source user-based CMS’s like WordPress. HTML validators can help with things when you’re coding entire pages by hand, or very good when learning html, or your forgetful on adding alt attributes to images – but really useless in real word cases (imho).

    The validator’s complaining in your case because it wants the <style> tag in the <head>, not in the <body>. You can read a bit more about it here, and the non-scene of its rules changing over and over again.

    But as you can see, your browser interrupts the code perfectly fine – the rest of the world is okay with body <style> declares.

    There’s MUCH better tools to ensure your site is up to standards like:

    * google speed: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/
    * speed & server tech: https://gtmetrix.com/
    * get server on http/2: https://tools.keycdn.com/http2-test
    * get ssl: https://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html
    * og check: http://opengraphcheck.com
    * (cant find one, but making sure schema.org tags are good)
