    Favicon problem in Chrome after SSL installation, by Gunilla

    I have a multisite with theme Responsive since a couple of years. There was no favicon problem until SSL was installed two seaks ago.

    The favicon is okey in IE and Firefox but not in Chrome. I can see the favicon in the panel but not on the website.

    The cache in Chrome is emptied. I have tried to put
    <link rel=”shortcut icon” href=”<?php echo get_stylesheet_directory_uri(); ?>/wp-content/uploads/sites/8/2017/11/favicon.png” />
    in the header-php in a child theme without success.

    I have also tried jpg-,png-, gif-files with 16×16, 32×32, 512×512 pixels.

    But nothing seems to help.
