    CSS Coding Help? Only applying on Chrome, not Firefox or Safari, by emilycapito

    Added ConvertKit subscribe forms to the footer of this client website. First Name field was showing white text on white background (can’t see that you’re typing) and found this in CSS child theme:

    .footerclass input[type=text] { color: #fff }

    Changed to:

    .footerclass input[type=text] {
    background-color: #D3D3D3 !important;
    color: #333333 !important;
    }

    This fixed the issue and allowed the Search bar to still have visible type, but it did nothing to fix the Subscribe First Name fields in Firefox (where there is no background gray form prompt text at all and text entered is white) or in Safari, where entered text is white.

    Would really love if someone with some CSS wizardry can tell me how to correct the CSS coding so that the First Name field shows the gray field prompt text and the entered text is anything but white. See on Chrome to see desired result.
