On WordPress, the contact form is pretty sweet.

However, the wordpress script doesn’t work external to WordPress.com sites.

How does one write the code for a contact form in HTML that will allow the person to send me their name and email address? (I want to know this for educational purposes though I’ll probably end up embedding a form from MailChimp).
