Domain Mapping without a Plugin & SSL, by apexpredator

I am not sure why, but my post was deleted from the @cleanteam original thread and it is now closed. I will try to explain what is happening again.

I am trying to setup domain mapping and SSL for my sites and am having some issue. I am on shared hosting and do not have a dedicated IP address. I followed a few different instructions, which has led to the site crashing. Here is what I have done so far:

    1. Installed a fresh copy of WordPress (Version 4.9.2)
    2. Followed the standard instructions to activate WordPress Multisite
    3. Setup subdomains http://site1.mainsite.com
    4. Pointed my site1 to the DNS settings for my main site
    5. Changed the Site Address (URL) to my subdomain http://site1.com
    6. Added an * subdomain to my main site in cPanel *.mainsite.com
    7. Created domain alias for my subsites (mysite1.mainsite.com & mysite1.com)
    8. Added SSL via Cloudflare to my main domain http://mainsite.com

I cannot log into my other dashboards now. It automatically logs me out and I cannot log back in. I tried clearing my cache, but that didn’t help. If anyone could help me figure out my mistake, I would greatly appreciate it.
