    Hello,

I want to create a static home page - as in, I want a page I have created to be displayed when people go to my URL with no slashes or anything. I have created the page and gone to Settings > Reading > Static Home Page and set up the page I have created there. However, when I go to my page it shows Nothing Found. I have watched lots of videos and for everyone else it seems to work, but I can't get it to.

    Please help.

there may be many reasons why your content is not showing...
    1. check if you have an index.html in the root directory
    2. enable DEBUG = true (in the wp-config.php) and you will see any errors that it is showing. Also enable display_errors in your php.ini
    3. Change the theme and check
    4. disable recently uploaded plugins and check

you should get some error message which you can post here and get correct feedback
