Simple or complicated themes?

    Well I have always been drawn to the more simple ones. Sometimes I think that having too much flash is more confusing than anything else, and when your content is what you are really hoping to present, sometimes those distractions can really take away from what you are trying to convey. That is my experience at least, and it certainly depends on what your target audience is like and what they are interested in.

    I was thinking about it from the readers' perspective. If they are bombarded with a lot of options and features they might miss the things that are more important, such as a form to subscribe to your newsletter.
    It's great to see I'm not the only one preferring simple themes. This whole web 2.0 has been taken a bit too far, if you ask me.
