So, you have written some amazing content but getting little to no comments? Well let's try and deal with that here.

This is so simple yet few web masters (especially new ones) seem to implement. By simply asking for comments from your readers you are much more likely to receive them. People that are new to blogs may not fully understand the comment system so turn this up a notch by creating a welcome post for new readers and covering how they can comment.

    Include your Commenters
If a reader leaves a valuable comment on a post of yours, include that comment in the main post or create a new post including their name and comment and elaborating a little. If a reader asks a question on one of your posts, edit and add a Q&A section to the bottom of the post.

    Don't ask for Login
If a reader wants to leave a comment, they want to do it there and then. There is nothing more annoying than blogs that want you to login just to leave a comment. You can still moderate each comment before it goes live.

    Don't go on the Defensive
We all make mistakes from time to time. I see it everyday. Someone will make a post in which they get something wrong. A comment will be left correcting the issue and the author will go on the defensive and respond quite harshly. I can guarantee that will not only lose commenters but will also lose you readers. People should never feel worried about leaving a comment.

It is always a good idea to interact with all comments that are left. This is not only friendly but will lead to the them returning and leaving more comments. This will become difficult as your site grows but by then you will already be receiving plenty of comments.

    Don't Say Everything
It is important to leave some things out so that readers can contribute. Even if they are only saying what you would have put originally, it is still adding to your comment count.

This thread will be updated regularly, but in the mean time, feel free to leave your own tips below.
