I've heard all of the pros now what are some cons to building a website using Wordpress? I know you're all die-hard supporters but there's got to be some things you are disappointed with or things that it is lacking compared to other platforms.

    1. If you really want to customise or create your own theme, plugins; knowledge of PHP will be required which is harder than HTML and CSS.
    2. Installing wordpress could be a hassle if your hosting doesn't provide one click wordpress installation.
    3. You will need to buy a hosting account, unlike blogger (there is wordpress.com which does not need separate hosting but it's power is very limited).
    4. May not be suitable for huge websites especially e-commerce sites(It is possible to make e-commerce sites with Wordpress using Woo-commerce plugin but there are better options)

Wordpress is good for a beginner as well as professional, for a small as well as medium websites. However, if you have web development and designing skills you will find limited options in wordpress. Furthermore, for a large website that sees a very large number of visitors, wordpresss is not suitable. Wordpress is good for content sites, personal websites, however, for ecommerse store there are better CMS options available

A major drawback is that you can't use adsense for free wordpress blogs. If you are hoping to earn through adsense then it might be a restriction unless you are willing to pay first for the hosting and domain name.

    WordPress is not protective.
    Formatting graphics are difficult.
The speed of the website down due to plugins and generic code.
Having an update without back up can cause lost of data.
